GreyScan’s ETD-100 part of the Australia pavilion at SOFEX 2022

GreyScan was one of 11 Australian businesses invited by Team Defence Australia (TDA) and Austrade to be a part of the Australian Pavilion at the Special Operations Forces Expo (SOFEX) in Aqaba, Jordan.

James Bryant, GreyScan’s Commercial Development Director – EMEA, was kept busy with requests to demonstrate the ETD-100 at the Expo.

Delegations from 47 countries attended the event, with many of them visiting the Australia stand. One of the key highlights was His Majesty King Abdullah II from Jordan being briefed at the Australia pavilion and watching a demonstration of the ETD-100.

SOFEX is a biennial event aimed at the defence and security industry, and is attended by high-ranking military and government officials from across the globe. SOFEX 2022 was held from 31 October to 3 November.

The Australian pavilion was one of the most impressive at the show, and attracted a significant number of visitors.

Our presence at the Australian pavilion allowed GreyScan the opportunity of increased exposure of the ETD-100 into the middle-eastern market, and to work in partnership with the Australian government to continue to grow our network in these markets.

With the ETD-100 being the only field deployable Explosives Trace Detector designed to detect the inorganic substances commonly used to manufacture Home Made Explosives (HMEs), there was a lot of interest in the ETD-100. As a result of the show, a number of distributors have approached GreyScan, expressing their interest in representing us in the region.

Furthermore, the TDA and Austrade team invited GreyScan to continue using their trade development services to assist in our growth into the middle-eastern market.

Our thanks to TDA and Austrade for inviting GreyScan to be a part of such an incredible event!
